So the pain level doesn't seem to be getting much better... it's stable, but not down where we'd like for it to be.
What does that leave me to report on? Her counts of course. They are on the way up 'cept for the Hemoglobin. Her platelets are 58 up from 29 last week and her WBC is up to 3.2 up from 1.7 in the same time frame. So THAT'S a good thing. I'm guessing that her ANC is over 2500... which is really good.
So it's grasp to the little things (again) and hope for bigger things to hang on to.
We're in the midst of figuring out what trial and where we will be going. The trial we thought was open at Children's isn't, but there are other kinase trials that are... well that's according to Dr. Cohn. Dr. Cohn also has a trial here, but we'd have to wait for Emmah's platelets to get to 100. Even then we're not too sure we want to be on that one as it's shown some cardiac issues.
There's also the MD Anderson trial that we have a spot for... but the doctor who's spearheading it is out until the 10th. Plus we need to figure out the logistics and how we're going to pay for it since Illinois medicade doesn't transfer to Texas.
So I guess we are going to have to see what's available to us here first. There's so much to consider and research and oh man... our heads are popping.
