Another morning arrival only to have us sit and wait 35 minutes (their Monday morning meeting ran long) to get labs drawn and sent off. While 8am might not exactly qualify as early to most, the time we have to leave to ensure we get there by 8 is early enough.
So, and not at all shocking, Emmah was not ready to harvest today.
The upside is that her WC is doubled what it was on Friday, but that's still not enough to even consider gassin' up the reaper. Her WC on Friday was 0.1... today it was 0.2... so it's come on back in on Thursday and we'll see where she be.
In an attempt to not make the trip a total waste of time, we wanted to check out what they had in the way of platelets... I mean we wanted a little something for the effort after all. We were in luck, they had an early bird special going on. With a garage time stamp pre 8am get a bag of platelets free. The choice was left up to me, so I opted to take the proactive approach since she was @23 and the transfusion threshold is 20.
So it's on to Thursday morning and more wait and see...
